For the birds

We've had a bird coop from Fallbrook days just lying about, so we decided it was time to plant it here in Lincoln. Not so easy to do! Here's the hole:

One of the rocks could be

a dinosaur egg.

And the end result. No birds yet, but it looks nice.

Our deck in near completion. Thank goodness for LABOR day weekend! The deck is sure a lot bigger than we thought but we are very happy with it.....thanks Justin. Next weekend we are going to waterproof it and hopefully add some stairs. I guess we can go out and purchase a ladder. It all very exciting!

The boys had enjoyed their annual backpacking trip. They hiked up to Desolation Wilderness and ran around "Bear Grill" for a few days. They fished but they didn't catch anything. Kyle says it was too hot so the fish went deep into the waters. Such a smart guy. They all returned safely and without incident.....and shower. Good times.
